Diabetes ... Threatening dogs - cats, not people.

Not only is the boss, only to be sick with the disease hit "diabetes", but the dog I did have a tendency to this disease is increasing, which, although it is still a shortage of medical devices and drugs for. four-legged patients. But it's also fortunate that the equipment to treat diabetes in pets (something) can borrow the tools used together. The rate of death by disease, the decrease in the number of patients increases.

The survey found that dogs with diabetes increased from 19% to 67%, while the death rate from diabetes. The rapid decline of 37% to only 5% of the dogs at risk of diabetes, most species in nature pool Needle, Alaska Malaga New South, Big Incheon Harbor, and in Nature. Schnauzer.

Of diabetes in the cat. Found to be similar to people. The first category is divided into different types of cases, the pancreas can not produce the hormone insulin, the second type is the hormone the body produces enough insulin. The cells in the body can not get it. The cat can have two types of diabetes is similar to humans.

For the treatment of diabetes in the animals. Previously, the use of human drugs on animals, then the result is a veterinarian is the device used to treat diabetes, the human animal is fed with a glucose monitoring. This will measure your blood sugar level is higher or not. Because people with diabetes have high blood sugar levels. And have difficulty controlling their blood sugar levels.Because the body can not produce enough insulin, a hormone.Although diet and insulin injections can help. However, blood glucose levels must be monitored closely. Little dog, too. They need to track blood sugar levels closely. That is why the veterinarian to use these tools with a little dog and he did it.

But before a veterinarian to treat your dog or cat with diabetes have it. The dog was taken for routine blood tests at the clinic and use the data for the hormone insulin. In order to be able to dispense it. However. Atmosphere of the clinic, it may make the pet feel stressed. This stress will affect the measurement of the hormone insulin. The results are often not as much a reality.

However, at present. Veterinarians used to monitor glucose levels in real time. This powerful and accurate than the very old. It can show us the level of sugar in the blood of animals by real-time.Or agree to changes in blood sugar levels that result from the way the owner of the pet food or exercise. It can be treated with precision. And the owners know that using drugs to pet food and exercise. Affects the increase or decrease in the levels of insulin by the child, it is a factor that affects diabetes in pets as well.

Are All Pet Foods The Same?

Introducing a pup to a new home and giving it the life it deserves is fun and exciting for a family. Nevertheless, numerous families stress about buying the proper food for their new pup so they are able to grow healthy and live a long life. There is so much hype currently surrounding the choice of a puppy food that it could be confusing to know which to purchase, and it appears like such a huge decision it can be scary as well. It's important to know what all of the hype means, what the truth of the matter is and how you are able to make your choice.

http://amcny.files.wordpress.com/2011/05/cat-dog-eating.jpg

The Hype
Processed and manufactured puppy foods have recently fallen under attack for their use of artificial ingredients and chemicals that are not natural products. This will be the same attack that numerous junk food companies for humans have fallen prey to, and can be frightening to a puppy owner. According to many people, the brand on the food isn't important because they are all of the same - full of artificial nutrients, fake meat and very little nutritional value.

The Truth
Unfortunately, it can be nearly impossible to gauge the truth about puppy foods simply from the commercials and advertisements you watch on TV. The truth is that puppies who are fed frequently and get an adequate amount of healthcare and physical exercise are likely to live full, healthy lives. The truth is that no dog food on the market is recognized for making a puppy ill from consuming it, and also the price has little to do with the nutritional value of the particular brand. There could be a study discovered to support each and every type of dog food obtainable for purchase over the others, so none of them can be agreed upon as the best.

The Choice
Your choice for a puppy food is just that - a choice. It could be agonizing and confusing, or it could be easy and satisfactory. Puppies are likely to chow down on just about anything you feed them. Nevertheless, many breeds of dogs cannot tolerate table scraps, certain ingredients or even particular kinds of meat. It's important to talk with your vet about what your puppy breed needs and what's acceptable, and go from there. Believing the hype only causes stress, and your vet ought to be the only one you trust with your new puppy's health and well-being.

What To Do When Your Pet Has Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections

About one in every seven animal is infected with a urinary tract infection serious enough to require treatment, with about half of these infections become a chronic long-term called recurrent urinary tract infections. It is also fair to say that seventy percent of all cases will be women and that most pets that are involve advanced age have diabetes mellitus are prone to bladder stones, a kind of disease of the bladder or is the long-term treatment with corticosteroids.

As you can see, there are many reasons that could make an animal susceptible to recurrent urinary tract infections. It might also be useful to know that urinary tract infections may be acquired by ingestion of bacteria in food or water containing it is transmitted by blood or opportunistic bacteria enter the urethra and its path along the urinary tract the bladder and the worst for the kidneys.

So the first rule to rid your pet with this condition is to ensure that they do not accidentally consume food or water may contain bacteria. No pet owner would intentionally feed their food team with bacteria, but I know with my pets, sometimes they can find, and eating or drinking, rough stuff, including old food and dirty water.

As mentioned earlier, these infections usually will be repeated in older animals was mainly due to a weakened immune system, which is no longer able to eliminate bacteria and combat takes place for the urinary tract. Of these animals special care to ensure that they are not in contact with feces and urine or removed. Pet using the litter box, the threat is even greater, because they are the main breeding ground for bacteria and should be kept very clean and regularly inspected. In addition, a daily exercise routine must be implemented to raise the flag of the immune system function.

Another issue of concern in older animals with arthritis. Pets who need long-term corticosteroid drugs to reduce bone and joint pain are at high risk for recurrent urinary tract infections. If your pet falls into this category are turning to natural arthritis remedies containing glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate might be something worth considering these two substances have been shown to help animals (especially cats) with urinary tract infections appellants.

As mentioned bacteria usually enters through the urethra and makes its way through the urinary tract. To accomplish this feat should be able to adhere to the walls and then to the urinary bladder wall. Certain compounds called ellagitannins help prevent this from happening. Blackberries and raspberries are good sources of cranberries and blueberries with a similar action. Like most animals will not break the door down to get to their hideout BlackBerry adding a little sugar fruit juice to your water regularly is probably the easiest method of shipping and cleaner.

And finally, adding a charge of urinary tract homeopathic specially formulated to relieve the discomfort of the bladder, reducing urine leakage, stimulate immune function, and improve bladder health in general and the tract urine may be an idea to consider. One advantage of these natural remedies is that they can be safely used in conjunction with other treatments (antibiotics) used to contain recurrent urinary tract infections at bay.

Touch Therapy and Massage for Your Pet

Touch therapy for people and animals - a deeper connection

Just like humans, animals touch their young a great deal from birth. We all, all-living creatures, benefit from touch from the time we are born until the time we die.

Linda Tellington-Jones (call TTouch) helped massage become a valuable component of equestrian care, while also contributing and widening the knowledge of hands-on care to a broader animal population. There are 20-plus hand positions combined with various tempos and pressures. Animal massage has grown considerably in the USA since its emergence within the horse community in the 1960s and 1970s. This has helped the massage paths between humans and animals converge and relate to the same value in touch.

Massage therapists, veterinarians, and animal owners are all becoming more aware of how many benefits an animal can get with touch. We need to understand some of the benefits of touch with animals; it can help the animals in so many ways. Its especially important to educate yourself if they are injured, healing or just needing some loving attention.

As you approach an injured or scared animal you must approach slowly with respect, mindfulness and an open palm to the sky, as if you are holding the trust and their heart in your hand. Children have been learning this more in the last decade as animal awareness and education has increased.

With an open palm (as you approach) it is the less dominating way to approach a dog or cat. This is important for children as well as adults to learn, so the animal does not feel threatened.

Tuning into your silent "receiver" (the animal) with your heart is the first connection you can make. Move at a slow approach and gentle pace while silently communicate with your body language, "Can I come toward you?" Be patient, breathe, it may take a bit of time for the trust to build as you move your body closer to them.

Being present and mindful are the two major keys in touch therapy.

When you are giving your pet a massage, start off with this mindfulness. Send the love through your heart and imagine it leaving through your hands to the animal.

Gently place your hands on the animal. Your pet will feel your intention and energy behind your approach and most likely be more open to you. Touch your pet like you would want to be touched if you were sick, injured or just wanting a massage for your health. After 3-5 minutes of gentle touch you will be able to assess what pressure you can apply. Sometimes, just the laying of hands and the energy exchange is all an injured animal can take. Small, slow, light circles of touch over the heart area can be very soothing. Remember, it's the love coming through your hands that is the connection.

If your pet has just come out of surgery their sensations may be more alert. Remember, their bodies are working hard to heal and a still hand may be all they want at first. Think of your hand as the balancing of the activity that is going on internally in their body. Open your heart, look at them with your eyes and talk with them. Even though you may think they cannot understand your words, they do "get it" vibrationally. Trusting that connection through touch therapy and with that communication will deepen your bond with the animal.

The techniques of touch are communicating cellular rejuvenation. On a cellular level it helps reduce pain, fear and that helps reduce inflammation, which is usually the ache in the body as it is going through the healing process. This is the massage therapist's intention behind their touch with humans, as well.

Touching your Pet will be of great benefit on a physical, emotional and Spiritual connection for you and for your pet. Touch is a powerful connection.
